Biographical history

Agnes Laut was a journalist and a prolific writer of popular histories of Canada and the U.S. She was born in Stanley, Ont. and died in Wassaic, N.Y., having lived much of her life in the U.S. She was educated at the University of Manitoba and was an editorial writer for the Manitoba Free Press. Her many works include: Lords of the North (1900), Pionneers of the Pacific Coast (1915), and The Conquest of the Great North West (1908).
