I watched a performance with Lorraine Perlman in the anarchist Trumbleplex (an anarchist collective house in Detroit) around 2002. The group were touring with a cart of Autonomedia Books and were living in the same building that Autonomedia Books operated out of in Brooklyn, NY. Their act was grotesque: it included someone pounding a nail through a pierce-hole in his penis and a woman who spun plates on top of a pole that she 'balanced' on her crotch."
