Scope and content

This series consists of materials relating to Robin Hopper’s work as an artist. Records include ceramic glaze samples, slides, exhibition catalogues, sketchbooks, notes, awards, and inspiration materials. The series also includes two oversize wooden crates on wheels with wooden panels of glaze and colour test samples, as well as laminated poster versions of the panels.

Hopper was also the recipient of several awards. The series includes correspondences between Hopper and board members of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (N.C.E.C.A.), recommendation letters, exhibition catalogues, photographs and samples of Hopper’s work, and VHS tapes of the 25th anniversary of the Saidye Bronfman Award.

Physical condition

Minor spine repairs done to Sketchbooks 1 and 7, located in files 2.9 and 2.14, respectively. Parts of the old spine are reused, with new Lineco book cloth (acid-free, 100% Rayon with paper backing).
