Administrative history

The Camas Collective Bookstore and Infoshop opened in September 2007 and is a not-for profit and completely volunteer-run infoshop, bookstore, and autonomous community space located on Lekwungen Territory in Victoria. Camas' objective is to maintain a self-sustaining example of a grassroots, community-based space that operates independently of capitalist and state interests, and to provide an accessible space for activists, community groups, youth, artists, and individuals to organize, share resources, exchange ideas, and strengthen anti-authoritarian and anti-colonial voices and projects in our neighbourhoods and communities.
