The collection consists of a group of Elizabethan and Carolean manuscript documents. Includes a four-page manuscript indenture dated 14th July in the fourteenth year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1571) between George Symons and George Corkoram, both of Colompton, Devon, drafted at the Inner Temple in London, retaining one red wax impressed seal, together with a contemporary four-page copy of the same, both on vellum; together with a Charles I period manuscript document, written in Latin, with impressed wax Royal Seal of the enthroned monarch, on vellum; a manuscript indenture dated 20th August 1629 being a counterpart lease of a tenement granted by Lady Elizabeth Griffin of Yardley to William Hanams, attested by Edward Symons, on paper; a manuscript document dated 22nd April 1669 from the Manor of Sandon, ''Suffnall e Cromer'' (Herts), with references to a James Willymott and Baroness Elizabeth Nicholas, on vellum.
