The fonds reflects Glenn Howarth’s interests and ideas on art and life, as well as his relationships with friends, family, students, patrons and galleries.

The fonds consists of unpublished novels and short stories, diaries and journals, notes, correspondence, photographs and negatives, sketchbooks, drawings, financial and personal documents, grant applications, teaching materials, newspaper clippings, publications including exhibition catalogues and art journals, floppy discs, VHS tapes and various ephemera.

Correspondents include Garry Howarth, Tom Balloon, Janice Bailey, Laura Anderson Ho, Martin Honisch, Hazel French, the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, and the Canada Council.

The fonds has been arranged into six series: Personal papers, Art practice, Writings, Correspondence, Teaching, and Electronic and audio-visual materials.

The collection consists of: Barker's correspondence (1934-1964); news clippings (1933-1968); sketches (1963-1965); holographs and transcripts of essays (1937-1969); notebooks; holographs and typescripts of poetry (1954-1970); contracts (1933-1964); marked proofs; a heavily annotated copy of Elizabeth Smart's A Bonus (1977), and an annotated copy of Aristotle's Poetics etc., which Barker used for reviewing Ezra Pound's XXX Cantos.

There is also a signed letter from Anne Harvie Ross Foster, (Mrs W. Garland Foster) 1875-, (now Ann Hanley) to Flora Hamilton Burns together with a typed carbon reply from Miss Burns, in which she talks about "The Mohawk Princess".

The collection consists of records documenting various branches of the Canadian Army. Collection includes photographs of parades and drills taken by the Department of National Defence; photocopies of military order of the 1st Canadian Army during World War II; copies of intelligence tests administered by the Canadian Armed Forces; correspondence, maps, daily reports and copies of morale reports of the Canadian Militia Training Centre No. 111, Gordon Head Camp, together with some photos; booklet of poems by R.W. Day of Sidney Camp; orders for Operation Overlord (D-Day) and other military orders of the 16th (Canadian Scottish) Infantry Battalion; and, miscellaneous reports (including those related to the Dieppe raid), brochures and reference material; Militia Orders (photocopy) 1899; "Secret War Diary" 1-31 May 1941, 6th Cdn. Tony Connor fonds

The fonds consists of correspondence and drafts of poetry, plays and prose providing a window into the professional life of Tony Connor. The fonds contains drafts of Connor's collections, including With Love Somehow (1962), Things Unsaid: New and Selected Poems 1960–2005 (2006), and The Empty Air (2012). Correspondence includes letters from Connor to academic Larry Vonalt and from Hungarian-British poet George Gomori.

The digital files consist of poetry drafts and are dated from 2007 to 2021 according to their "Last Modified" dates. Original​​ file ​​formats ​​include ​​.doc​ and .docx files.
