The fonds consists of material about the genealogy of the Holland Family and some family memorabilia. It includes a book, printed 'for private circulation only' in 1899 (reprinted with additions, 1915) by Thomas Erskine Holland, called "The Hollands of Conway".

The collection consists of correspondence from T. S. Eliot, photographs, a Lecture typescript with corrections, and an annotated book. The correspondence from Eliot is to: Mme. D. Bussy (including 1 unfinished reply and 2 from TSE's secretary) [1934-56]; Miss J.S. Bussy (daughter of above) [1939-56]; T. Tambimuttu [1959]; R. Thoma [1932]; M. Wykes-Joyce re Ezra Pound [1952] ; H.M. Belgion [1940-63]; Mrs. Harold Monro (Alida) [1934-60] including 2 photos; John Lehmann [1936-52]; Anthony Cronin [1958]; Francis Berry [1953] re Herbert Read. The typscript with corrections is TSE's lecture "From Poe to Valery". Also included is Herbert Read's The Education of Free Men (Freedom Press, 1944) with approx. 200 words of Eliot's holograph annotations throughout the text.

The collection consists of manuscripts, typescripts, page proofs, galley proofs, correspondence and original illustrations of early books published by the Dolmen Press, comprising some of the work of about 25 writers. Included among these authors are Austin Clarke, Padraic Colum, Thomas Kinsella, and Richard Murphy. Also included are translations of earlier works in Irish and an edition of one of W. B. Yeats' works.

The fonds consists of drafts of his works, including handwritten manuscripts, typescripts and carbon copies with sometimes extensive corrections of much of his published work and several unpublished titles; correspondence from personal friends and publishers; Goldring's letters to the editor; diaries and notebooks, 1903-1960; newspaper clipping files; and a Goldring biography file. Names of correspondents include: Richard Aldington, John Betjeman, T.S. Eliot, Emma Goldman, Aldous Huxley, W.S. Maugham, and Alec and Evelyn Waugh. The largest correspondence files are from Mary Butts, Ethel Mannin and Louis Wilkinson. Also included is a file of correspondence from Betty Duncan to Conal O'Riordan. She later became Goldring's first wife and the mother of his two children.

The fonds consists mainly of manuscript, correspondence, and photographs relating to the book "James Joyce in Paris: His Final Years". Included are a typescript "On Photographing Joyce" with holo. notes; Freund's photographs with a typescript list of those not included in the book; Carleton's typescript and her typescript translation of the preface; a dummy copy for the book; galley proofs; a paste up of the title page; and a few photos and sample text. Also included are: a newspaper account of the book in "Le Figaro"; a holograph preface written by Simone de Beauvoir; release letters from people included in the book, among them Henry Miller.

Fonds consists of certificates and diplomas of Provincial Normal School military physical training and University of British Columbia degrees; typescripts of song lyrics and poems presented at a reception held in Victoria in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dee, 1966.

The fonds consists of typescripts and proofs of novels (1968-1971), television scripts (1964-1969), contracts (1966-1970) and correspondence (1963-1971) with agents and publishing and broadcasting companies.

Fonds consists of research files on various people and government officials, including E. Davie Fulton; Swainson's typescript of "International Development of the Columbia River"; U.S. Committee minutes; Canadian Committee minutes; and file card notes.

The collection consists of manuscripts and typescripts of The Group; manuscripts of poems; a manuscript of Hobsbaum's doctoral dissertation "A Theory of Communication", with holograph corrections by William Empson, Professor of English at Sheffield University; and letters to Hobsbaum from Empson relating to the supervision of Hobsbaum's doctoral thesis. The fonds consists of a handwritten letter from Miron Grindea (Adam International); photocopies of typescript poems and translations (numbered and signed by Russell); reprint and photocopied typescript of two articles; photocopies of revised typescript and extracts from "Ephemeron" (also numbered and signed by Russell).
