The fonds consists of typewritten and handwritten manuscripts, certificates, newspaper, maps, and photographs. The manuscripts are Victoria Boritch's personal memoirs about her family and life in Russia and China, as well as vignettes of various people and events in the 1930's to 1950's. They include details of her neighborhood and schooling in Shanghai and the Russian emigre community. The photographs and photograph albums are of Victoria Boritch and her family taken in Russia, China, and Canada between ca. 1915-1952.

The fonds consists of a compilation of west coast native legends, including some published in 1922 in Carmichael's monograph, Indian legends of Vancouver Island. The legends include: Ohyaht legends, Loquala, Seshaht and Opitchesaht legends, legends of Sproat and Great Central Lakes, and Great Central Lake by river. The manuscript also includes photographs of native artifacts, and paintings by Judith Phyllis Morgan and J. Semeyn.

The fonds consists of pen and ink drawings, pencil sketches, the manuscript for a novel, and some correspondence regarding work submitted for publication and patents. All works appear to have been created in the 1950s. The drawings and sketches total approximately 400; they include work for a series of cartoons featuring a character called “Professor Piltdown”, and a 51-strip cartoon series for an 18th century Scottish story “Black Roderick.” The novel is titled “Murder for the Title” and noted by Small to be a sports thriller. All works appear to have been unpublished.

The fonds consists of correspondence received by Montague in his capacity as editor plus a few carbons of his replies. Correspondents include Peadar O'Donnell, Liam Miller, Thomas Kinsella, and some of the other contributing writers: Aidan Higgins, Pearce Hutchinson, Val Iremonger, John Jordan, James Liddy, John McGahern, Brian Moore, Richard Murphy, James Plunkett, Richard Weber, Leslie Daiken, and Thomas McIntyre. There are also some miscellaneous letters and items; including letters from Samuel Beckett and Robin Skelton. Included with the correspondence are a few holograph notes, cuttings, manuscripts, pamphlets, and ephemera relating to The Dolmen Miscellany.

The fonds consists of a manuscript memoir from the surgeon Valentine St. John (1883-1964). Fonds also includes two personal diaries of Aglae de Jora St. John (in French), 1877-1918, and includes events of World War I. The second diary dates from September 17, 1882 to October 24, 1890 and covers diplomatic life in Croatia and other places.
