These series include aerial photographs of the Western Front, information of a World War One operation at the city of Lens, orders issued to the Battalion, personnel records, photographs, publications (including early editions of "The Brazier"), reports, scrapbooks, information on training, minutes of meetings of the Veterans Association of the 16th Battalion, and a design for the 16th Battalion war memorial.

The series shows his interest in making new generations of Victoria residents aware of their citys history and aware of World War I history. Records include typed manuscripts, clippings of Archies published articles, photographs including photograph albums, diaries, scrapbooks, war medals, and ephemera.
The fonds consists of the records of Bernard Lunn's military career. It contains hand-written notes on regimental activities. The fonds also includes ephemera collected by Mr. Lunn during the World Wars, programs of the 16th Battalion's re-union dinners, details of his trip to Europe to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Armistice Day, and various newspaper clippings.
