Amateur Dramatic Club of Calcutta collection

The collection consists of mimeographed scripts for two plays presented by the club at the Empire Theatre, Calcutta, India. The scripts come from the plays' original productions in England, several years earlier. Also included are programmes for the two plays, a clipping containing a review of one play, and a rehearsal list for the other play. The two plays are "Murder on the Second Floor" by Frank Vosper and "The Wind and the Rain" by Merton Hodge.

The collection consists of manuscripts, typescripts, page proofs, galley proofs, correspondence and original illustrations of early books published by the Dolmen Press, comprising some of the work of about 25 writers. Included among these authors are Austin Clarke, Padraic Colum, Thomas Kinsella, and Richard Murphy. Also included are translations of earlier works in Irish and an edition of one of W. B. Yeats' works.

Elsie Allan collection

Collection consists of material compiled by Elsie Allan concerning theatre in Victoria and other locations in B.C. and in England. The collection includes notebooks of annotated scripts, scripts of plays, announcements and notices of meetings of the Victoria Theatre Guild, programmes of amateur and professional performances in Victoria, New York, and England, and programmes of the British Columbia, Dominion, Kelowna, and Vancouver Island Drama Festivals.

Also includes Allan's photographs of Victoria and Field, B.C., Camp Petawawa, Salisbury, England, France and unidentified B.C. locations during World War I. Many of the photographs depict the military.

Henderson re: the Catholic Church and the Trade Union Movement, with a pencil draft on verso (illegible?); and eight signed engravings to illustrate Patrick Miller's "The Green Ship" (Golden Cockerel Press).

Sherard to O'Riordan about Dowson, after his death.

The four paintings by Peterson owned by Piternick were donated to the UBC Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery by Anne Piternick.
