Board records

Series consists of the records of the Board of Directors, arranged into seven sub-series: Correspondence, 1963-1988; Directors, 1969-1989; Protocol statements, 1981-1986; Meetings, 1966-1988, predominantly 1980-1988; Legal documents, 1964-1985; AGM reports and plans, 1966-1988; and Kipling photo bequest, [1966?]. Included within this series are records pertaining to the structure and membership of the Board; the incorporation of the Bastion Theatre Society and subsequent name change; reports, plans, and meeting minutes; and a photograph with an attached newspaper clipping on verso. Photograph features Rudyard Kipling with other thespians.

Sound tape cassettes

Series consists of one sound recording (audio cassette tape) of advertisements for "Maggie & Pierre," broadcast on CFAX radio, Victoria.

Photograph Album #1

The album consists of photographs taken during Cameron's travels up the Mackenzie River with her niece, Jessie Cameron Brown. The contents of the album include photographs of individuals and families outdoors.

Seaweed Inventory Project

Series consists of materials generated by the Seaweed Inventory Project, a major research project conducted by Dr. Austin and Robert Adams, research assistant and colleague. In 1972 and 1974, the project launched a survey of the seaweed along BC coastal waters. The series is complete record of the research project and includes original data, vegetation maps, reports, films and photographs, correspondence, field notes, reference literature, and other materials reflective of the activities of the researchers and project outcomes. Series consists of four sub-series:

  1. SIP reports, 1970-1997
  2. SIP films and photographs, [1972-1977]
  3. SIP correspondence and field notes, [1970-1977]
  4. SIP reference literature

Production records

Series consists of records from productions by the Bastion Theatre Company of British Columbia, arranged into six sub-series: Mainstage productions, 1975-1988; Prompt scripts, 1965-1988, predominantly 1974-1988; Play scripts, 1980-1988; Studio productions, 1976-1988; Production planning, 1965-1988; and Photographs, 1963-1988. Included in this series are scripts, musical scores, correspondence, contracts, production notes, applications, budgets, schedules, floor plans, photographs, and slides.

Series consists of records related to the Mallards’ activities with the Citizens Association to Save the Environment (C.A.S.E.), on the following environmental topics and issues: agriculture, air quality, aquaculture, bovine growth hormone (BGH), biotechnology, butterflies, climate change, energy, food and nutrition, gypsy moth, Heals Gun Range (noise control), health freedom and natural medicine, nitinol, pesticide, plant breeder’s rights, Saanich Inlet, sewage, Stockholm resolutions, sustainability and growth, transportation, war and resources, water, and west coast environmental law. Materials include correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, pamphlets and brochures, posters, newspaper clippings, handwritten notes, and photographs of events.

Series consists of ca. 500 file cards listing contacts and theatres, schools and churches in Canada; audience statistics; press releases and publicity kits; clippings of reviews, programmes, handbills, programme notes for Old Tomorrow: A Saga of the CPR, The Greek World, Little Wise One, Mary, Nightplay, Future Choice, Happiness Runs ..., The Face-Changer, The House of the Bears, Atuki, The Ass and The Goose, Fiddler Jones and Prometheus Bound; reviews of national tours; solicitations for donations; synopsis of Company One's history.

Correspondence

Series consists of correspondence with institutions where Company One performed, stock brokers regarding Company One shares, and charitable organizations.Correspondents include the Canadian Centre for Films in Art, the Bastion Theatre School, the Children's Aid Society of Vancouver, Andras, Hatch & Hetherington Ltd., Brokers, the Physicians' Services Incorporated Foundation, the Atkinson Charitable Foundation, the Gairdner Foundation, the Richard Ivey Foundation, the National Trust, the National Arts Centre and the Calgary Stampede.

Financial Records

Series consists of remittance forms for members' insurance in Actors' Equity; cash summaries; bank statements; ticket sales; seating plans; payroll records; receipt books; accounts ledgers; time books; and the 1974 tour and millage journal.
