Fonds reflects Foster’s artistic processes and practices, research interests, pedagogy, and her relationships with galleries, patrons, students and friends. Fonds consists of sketches, tracings, small paintings and prints, paint samples, printing plates, notes, correspondence, photographs, slides, negatives, exhibition catalogues, newspaper clippings, art publications, receipts and sales documents, inventories, Foster’s diplomas, and various ephemera.

Correspondents include Ed Hill, Barbara Demaray, Fritz Eichenberg, Anna Vakar and several businesses and galleries.

The fonds has been arranged into three series: Art practice, Publications and clippings, and Teaching.

The fonds consists of Caroline White's research towards her M.A. thesis, "Re/defining gender and sex: educating for trans, transsexual, and intersex access and inclusion to sexual assault centres and transition houses" (Vancouver: University of British Columbia, 2002). Her research touches on discrimination, activism, violence, women-only spaces, gender theories, critical race theory, disability studies, and legal cases. Material includes research papers, articles, committee documents, zines, pamphlets, clippings, and correspondence.

Fonds consists of office logs, a daily record of events, 1972-1992; Downtown Women's Place Project file, 1992-1993; posters, 1987-1994; pamphlets, 1972, 1987, 1990; and several newsletters: Victoria Status of Women News, 1972-1990; Times Feminist, 1991-1995; Waves, 1978-79; and Women's Centre and Transition House News, 1974.

Fonds reflects the activities and interests of the Women’s Organization for Political Prisoners as well as the involvement of Mayne Ellis, the donator of the fonds’ materials, with the organization and their campaigns. Fonds consists of correspondence, postcards, photographs, WOFPP’s newsletters and bulletins, printouts, press releases and reports.

Correspondents include WOFPP leader Hava Keller, Mayne Ellis, the Bureau of the Israeli Prime Minister, Israel Police, the Ministry of Justice of the State of Israel, the World Medical Association, the Israeli Prison Service, and the Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding.

Fonds consists of a variety of SIWITT conference minutes and correspondence from 1992-2004, incorporation records from 1985-2005, conference evaluations, financial records, and some photographs. Fonds also includes plans for public events, group outings, lobbying action correspondence, and recruitment. There are also organization newsletters, newspaper clippings, tape cassette and VHS recordings of conferences, speeches, interviews and a recruitment VHS.

Sous-fonds consists of records kept by Carole Itter documenting the life and death of her daughter, Lara Gilbert, Gilbert’s medical history, the publication of Gilbert's journals, legal trials submitted by Itter and Gilbert, and research on related topics chiefly from newspaper reporting and academic texts and journals. The sous-fonds has been arranged into five series: 1) cassette tapes, 2) I Might Be Nothing records, 3) legal proceedings, 4) medical records, and 5) clippings and research.

Fonds consists of project files including correspondence, funding, proposals, newspaper clippings, research papers; journals and notebook; scrapbook entitled "Building of Change: the process exposed"; oral history interview tapes; video recordings. Audio cassettes included records interviews with: Jacquie Ackerly, Sharon Chow, Harrinder Dhillon, Dorothy Livingston, Norrie Preston, and Joan Russo.

Collection consists of the following : Rikki Swin Institute records, Ari Kane records, International Foundation for Gender Education (IFGE) records, and the Virginia Prince records. The IFGE records include material from Betty Ann Lind and Merissa Sherrill Lynn.

The fonds consists of office files and include budget, minutes, agendas, communication logs, policy files, posters and Women's Centre history. Also included are subject files which entail educational and activist undertakings relating to rallies, eating disorders, date rape, violence against women, women's rights, December 6 memorial vigil and racism.
