Fantasia Fair collection

The collection consists of 26 VHS cassettes and 1 Betacam cassette, documenting several years of the Fantasia Fair trans* conference in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Video primarily documents the Fashion Shows and Follies, held at the end of the conference. Footage also includes seminars, luncheon speakers, Outreach Institute awards banquets, video titled “Our Gal Jane”, and exhibit at Berta Walker Gallery by Helen Strong. Two cassettes include pages of time stamps and notes regarding performances.

The fonds consists of Caroline White's research towards her M.A. thesis, "Re/defining gender and sex: educating for trans, transsexual, and intersex access and inclusion to sexual assault centres and transition houses" (Vancouver: University of British Columbia, 2002). Her research touches on discrimination, activism, violence, women-only spaces, gender theories, critical race theory, disability studies, and legal cases. Material includes research papers, articles, committee documents, zines, pamphlets, clippings, and correspondence.

Fonds documents Huneck's research relating to her involvement in government sponsored land-management decisions. The files reflect the organization and mandate of the various committees; and include minutes, reports, correspondence, press releases, clippings, and submissions from public and NGO groups. The fonds consists of the following series: Carmanah Community Committee (CCC); Carmanah Valley Forest Management Advisory Committee (CVFMAC); Forest Land Use Liaison Committee of British Columbia; Integrated Wildlife Intensive Forestry Research Program (IWIFR); Tahsis/Kwois follow-up Committee; Tsitika Follow-up Committee; and reference publication and reports. Reference material is arranged in alphabetical order by title. There is also reference material including publications and reports.

Some correspondence, such as that of Kathleen Raine, includes extended exchanges beyond that required for business purposes. Additionally, some manuscript material acquired by the business is included: i.e. Patrick Creagh, Derek Mahon, and Patrick McCartan's typescripts of letters from W. B. Yeats and Oliver St. John Gogarty.

The fonds consists of photographs of transgender women at various clubs and events in New York City during the 1980s and 1990s, as well as photographs of panel discussions, marches and events from 2000-2020. The locations include: Fabric Factory Club, Speed Limit 55 Club, New York University (NYU), Lucky Cheng's, St. Mark's, the CBGB & OMFUG Club, the Pyramid Club, the Silver Swan, and Meow Mix Club. The majority of the photographs were taken at Fabric Factory and Speed Limit 55.

The fonds consists of drafts of his works, including handwritten manuscripts, typescripts and carbon copies with sometimes extensive corrections of much of his published work and several unpublished titles; correspondence from personal friends and publishers; Goldring's letters to the editor; diaries and notebooks, 1903-1960; newspaper clipping files; and a Goldring biography file. Names of correspondents include: Richard Aldington, John Betjeman, T.S. Eliot, Emma Goldman, Aldous Huxley, W.S. Maugham, and Alec and Evelyn Waugh. The largest correspondence files are from Mary Butts, Ethel Mannin and Louis Wilkinson. Also included is a file of correspondence from Betty Duncan to Conal O'Riordan. She later became Goldring's first wife and the mother of his two children.

The fonds reflects Glenn Howarth’s interests and ideas on art and life, as well as his relationships with friends, family, students, patrons and galleries.

The fonds consists of unpublished novels and short stories, diaries and journals, notes, correspondence, photographs and negatives, sketchbooks, drawings, financial and personal documents, grant applications, teaching materials, newspaper clippings, publications including exhibition catalogues and art journals, floppy discs, VHS tapes and various ephemera.

Correspondents include Garry Howarth, Tom Balloon, Janice Bailey, Laura Anderson Ho, Martin Honisch, Hazel French, the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, and the Canada Council.

The fonds has been arranged into six series: Personal papers, Art practice, Writings, Correspondence, Teaching, and Electronic and audio-visual materials.

The fonds consists of correspondence and drafts of poetry, plays and prose providing a window into the professional life of Tony Connor. The fonds contains drafts of Connor's collections, including With Love Somehow (1962), Things Unsaid: New and Selected Poems 1960–2005 (2006), and The Empty Air (2012). Correspondence includes letters from Connor to academic Larry Vonalt and from Hungarian-British poet George Gomori.
