Wantage Bells, holograph revised draft written on 1st page of offprint, carbon typescript - final draft, holograph fair copy written on watercolour painting, 4 leaves, 1958, heading from Collected Poems - "Poems Written After 1954 ", not previously published in book form. Holograph draft has writing on the front and back pages only. Final draft has JB's name and the date typed at bottom. Watercolour version has legend at bottom "Copied Out For the Wantage Bellringers by John Betjeman in gratitude for their ringing at Candida's wedding May 25th 1963 to Rupert Lycett Green. This view of Wantage church tower from the Mead was done by J Betjeman with the aid of Marco Polo (under picture of dog). Patches of various colour on verso (removed from Notebook 52).
