The fonds consists of the manuscripts for Gurr's novels including "Troika" (1979), "A Woman Called Scylla" (1981), "The Action of the Tiger" (1984), "An American Spy Story" (1984), "On the Endangered List" (1985), and "The Ring Master" (1987). The fonds also consists of correspondence, notebooks, reviews and journals.

The accrual consists of photographs from an expedition to Siberia. Also includes diaries with transcription, photograph album, typescript of speech, letters, and edited transcriptions.
The collection consists of three spiral-bound subject files re Canadian naval operations in the 1950's, inlcuding the Korean War and Mediterranean operations.
