Letter from Alfred Chantrey Corbould to Mr. Burnand

Autograph Letter Signed "A.C. Courbould", to Mr. Burnand, incorporating an original signed cartoon of Receiving Day at the Royal Academy in 1894, called "A Fact". His correspondent is Sir Francis C. Burnand (1836-1917), author, editor of Punch. The cartoon shows a porter receiving a canvas from an artist. "R.A. Porter to Stodge, delivering his picture: 'stonishing lot o Rubbish sent in this year Sir. Moo' damaging to th' [h]eys Sir.'"

This file consists of typewritten copies of all the handwritten correspondence between 1844-1884 in File 1 and File 2. The file also includes one page of notes on "Christina's unfortunate marriage" and "Reference to Ancestors," as well as a typewritten copy of the newspaper clipping "A Glimpse of Chillianwallah" that is included in File 6. There is also a file folder with "W.M. MacLean" written on the front, which held the typewritten correspondence when the records were donated.
