Fonds documents George's efforts to preserve wilderness and wildlife endangered by logging interests on the Queen Charlotte Islands. The fonds includes correspondence, reports, scientific studies, public surveys, newsletters and maps. The files are arranged in the following series: Book research, Clippings, Correspondence, Crown Zellerbach, Forestry, Lyell Island, Queen Charlotte Islands, Rayonier, Reports and studies, South Moresby, Western Canada Wilderness Society, Island Protection Society, and Maps. The maps include extensive resource, wildlife, cultural, and topographic groupings: The Regional District of Skeena "A" 1973-1978; South Moresby Wilderness Proposal- ELUAC; Forest Service Maps, 1957-67; Forest company maps; Capability maps, and extensive National Topographic System maps.
