The collection consists of essays written by Loft's students, including David Holmes-Smith and Lorraine Brand, for Loft's education courses at the University of Victoria concerning the history of education in B.C. and the history of Victoria's churches.
The fonds consists of an unidentified manuscript [unpublished novel?, 1955?]; typescript and corrected page proofs of "Alien Corn", 1944; typescripts, carbon typescripts, and galley proofs of "Art & Outrage", 1959, and "My Friend Henry Miller", 1955; plus some correspondence with writers and publishers. Correspondents include Henry Miller, Anaïs Nin, Lawrence Durrell, Anne Rives and Neville Spearman Ltd. The fonds also consists of 5 watercolours by Alfred Perlès; correspondence to Jacqueline Randal from Anne Barret and her daughter, Isobel; newspaper articles; Alfred Perlès' typewriter; and a watercolour print by Henry Miller.
The fonds consists of a cord-bound paper notebook containing a holograph musical play titled "A Pair of Them: A Musical Trifle in One Scene". Pasted on the inside cover is a clipping, depicting a scene from a production of the play at the Gaiety Theatre. There is a handwritten addition to the title page stating "Music Arranged Selected & Composed by Meyer Lutz". The cover is autographed by the author.

The fonds consists of a 38 leaf 1/4 leather bound volume containing a handwritten translation into English (by F.E.) from a German translation by D.J.O.H. (Helbigius in 1682). The original was written in Arabic. Hand-coloured initial letter at beginning of text, part of text in red ink (leaf 31).

The fonds consists of typescripts of an unpublished novel "The Harmless Snake"; 3 unpublished books of poetry: "The Simon Poems", "Thy Harry's Company", "A Motley to the View"; typescript copies of five Egoyan screenplays (reworked by Bell) including: "Family Viewing" (1987) in 3 drafts; "Speaking Parts" (1989) in 5 drafts; The Adjuster (1991) 1 draft, "Exotica" (1995) 1 draft (not reworked by Bell) and "The Sweet Hereafter" (1997) in 3 drafts; some additional holograph notes and a notebook regarding the scripts and correspondence from Atom Egoyan to Bell 1985-1995 regarding the films. Additionally, there is correspondence from Irving Layton and others.
The collection consists of mimeographed scripts for two plays presented by the club at the Empire Theatre, Calcutta, India. The scripts come from the plays' original productions in England, several years earlier. Also included are programmes for the two plays, a clipping containing a review of one play, and a rehearsal list for the other play. The two plays are "Murder on the Second Floor" by Frank Vosper and "The Wind and the Rain" by Merton Hodge.
