The collection consists of artwork and prints collected by Daniel Mato. Including works by Robert Achtemichuk, Michael Bigger, Donald Crouch, Pierre Heyvaert, Steve Higgins, Robert Sakowski, Winston Leathers. Also includes prints by Rufino Tamayo, Luke Iksiktaaruk, Elisapee Ishulutaq, Karel Appel, Jose Ortega.

The accrual consists of framed prints by Rufino Tamayo (1899-1991), Luke Iksiktaaruk (1909-1977), and Elisapee Ishulutaq (1925–2018). Rufino Tamayo was a Mexican painter of Zapotec heritage. Luke Iksiktaaryuk was an Inuit art sculptor. Elisapee Ishulutaq was a celebrated Inuit printmaker and graphic artist.

The collection consists of a scrapbook of newspaper clippings on the Riel Rebellion, including several maps and political cartoons. Also included are three loose clippings regarding Helen's father,1857; Fish Creek casualties, 1935; and an obituary of her youngest brother; 1954. Most clippings are undated, and the source not noted. The clippings are pasted into a copy of Canada Under the National Policy. The volume is inscribed, "Helen Christie, April 4th 1875."

The fonds is comprised of botanical illustrations and field journals by Oluna Ceska, with additional information contributed by Adolf Ceska. This includes, eight field journals of mycofloristic (mushroom) surveys with detailed illustrations by Oluna Ceska. Each specimen has been labelled by name, as well as by the location, date, and substrate where it was found. Additional observations include physical characteristics, smell, size, and spore size. The research focuses primarily on the southern Vancouver island region. Many of the studied specimens are from Observatory Hill, Victoria. Additional research locations include the Gulf Islands, Haida Gwaii, the BC mainland, the Yukon, Washington, and Oregon.

The fonds also consists of 9 survey reports of macrofungi on Observatory Hill that were researched and compiled by Oluna, with photos of specimens taken by Adolf. The reports describe species of fungi that were found, their location, as well as environmental factors that impact fungi growth.

In addition to the notebooks and reports relating to mushrooms, the fonds includes illustrations of flora on Southern Vancouver Island.

The accrual consists of: Hawaiian Diary; the poem "Sea Country," poem "Portrait of Bibi la Puree," Lin's early attempt to write my biography, signature of Brian Johnson at his film "Al Purdy Was Here," personal remembrance of Peter Newman, review of Gary Geddes book, four pages for Robin Skelton and Joe Rosenblatt, prose draft of "Imagine a alk in the Woods," drafts of misc poems, drafts of Ron Dart's essay in honour of his retirement, "Only Connect," and early draft of memoir "Dealing with Demons" (2022).
