Fonds reflects Niela Miller’s public involvement in transgender education and counseling of the trans* community and “gender identity explorers.” Miller’s work, focused primarily in the United States, is represented here in the records of her workshops, presentations, and publications. The manuscripts include a typescript of "Manuscript of (Mrs.) Peggy Pemberton-Carter written during internment in Lunghua Prison Camp, Shanghai", accompanying watercolours by Deirdre Fee and Lilian Schlee; typescript of "Dragon Aunt Remembers, 1900-1980", unpublished; photocopy of typescript "The Curious Cage", and an extensive photograph collection of the development of the Abkhazi garden.

Helen Christie Riel Rebellion collection

The collection consists of a scrapbook of newspaper clippings on the Riel Rebellion, including several maps and political cartoons. Also included are three loose clippings regarding Helen's father,1857; Fish Creek casualties, 1935; and an obituary of her youngest brother; 1954. Most clippings are undated, and the source not noted. The clippings are pasted into a copy of Canada Under the National Policy. The volume is inscribed, "Helen Christie, April 4th 1875."
