The collection consists of manuscript material, consisting of a carbon typescript, corrected of "An Explanation" (being the preface to Shaw's edition of the Shaw-Ellen Terry correspondence); a manuscript of "Motives of Socialism"; and marked proofs for "Shaw Speaks on War" (a transcript of a short wave broadcast in 1937). Also included is correspondence with Elbridge Adams, Hubert Bland, William Archer, William J. Pickerell, and Harold Laski, together with correspondence from Janet Achurch to Hubert Bland. There is also a small amount of ephemera.
The collection consists a typescript copy of Hiroshima Reef (401 pp.) with holograph corrections and an editor's directions to the printer. In addition, there is a 1 page letter dated March 11  to "Geoffrey," a pre-publication reader of Hiroshima Reef regarding work needed on the book and Lambert's poor health (Lambert died April 16).
The collection consists of a handwritten letter to Laurenz M. Lamont from Martin Secker (Richards Press) re A.B. (Algernon Blackwood), plus photocopies of a handwritten letter to L.M. Lamont and a handwritten postcard to Mrs. Lamont from Blackwood.
The collection consists mainly of Shepherd's unpublished typescripts concerning her family history in France and Italy, England, and Ireland: "The Illustrious De Verduns" (paperbound, corrected); "A Journey Into Time Past" (Beaumont family, paperbound); "The Diaries of my Grandmother, Margaret Emily Cooke [nee Verdin] (paperbound, corrected). Also included is a pamphlet "Joseph Verdin and Sons, Salt Proprietors" by Mary Rochester; correspondence (1989-1990) between the author, Gray Campbell (Gray's Publishing), Judge Monty Tyrwhitt-Drake, and Special Collections; a National Gallery photograph of "The Beaumont Family by George Romney" (painted ca. 1778-82); and some typed "De Verdun and Verdin pedigrees".

The collection consists of two handwritten letters from Lord Alfred Douglas to Mrs. Vane-Tempest (Edith Helen Vane-Tempest-Stewart, Marchioness of Londonderry, 1879-1959), in which he discusses the poems which she sent to him and thanks her for her praise of his own.
The collection consists of a mimeographed, signed letter from Starkey to Magee. In the letter, he thanks him for the note on "The Avatars", which he will print in his next issue (Jan.-Mar.). The letter accompanied a complimentary copy of his "Collected Poems".
