Included are research materials, correspondences, and drafts for Doyle's biography of Richard Aldington, "Rachard Aldington: A Biography" (Macmillan, 1989); his biography of American poet William Carlos Williams, "William Carlos Williams and the American Poem" (Macmillan, 1982); his publication on James K. Baxter, "James K. Baxter" (Twayne Publishers, 1976); his "Earth Meditations" poetry; and manuscripts from the poetry journal "Tuatara" for which Doyle served as editor. University of Victoria related records include course notes,1981-88; and committee papers from the Committee on Alternatives for British Columbia (CABC),1983-1985 and the End the Arms Race Committee, 1983-86.

The fonds consists of records documenting Friedmann's interests and activities both on and off the University of Victoria campus. Fonds includes reports, correspondence, minutes of meetings and course outlines for new courses offered in physics (including the co-op program), nursing, and social work, records of Senate and faculty committees, material relating to the resignations of University of Victoria Presidents Bruce Partridge and Malcolm Taylor and the appointment as President of Howard Petch, material relating to the University of Victoria Open Houses, and records (including constitutions, minutes financial records) relating to the Cadboro Bay Ratepayers Association and Community Plan, the Canadian Parents for French, the Vancouver Island Opera Society and the Victoria Symphony Society.
Series consists of data collected during field trips, and related essays and field reports relating to the study of aquatic ecology in the Capital Regional District. Dr. Austin conducted numerous aquatic ecology projects for his students, during which they collected field data and submitted reports and essays. The fonds consists of two notebooks of notes from Gordon's classes at Victoria College (B.C.) on constitutional law and English literature, 1911-1912; diploma and citation for Honourary Doctor of Laws degree awarded to Gordon from the University of Victoria; and scrapbook with oil pastels of outdoor scenes drawn by Gordon.
