Fonds includes minutes, reports and texts of speeches given by George Home, clippings, correspondence, policy statements, articles by T.C. Douglas, text of speech by Ed Broadbent, subject files on the Canadian political system and photographs of delegates at labour conventions.
Fonds documents Drury's journalism career, and consists of files relating to journalism, 1943-1958; subject files, 1944-62; the Empire Press Union, 1941, 1946; and the United Nations Conference on International Organization, 1944-45.
The fonds consists of papers presented at the Liberal "Thinkers" Conference, including papers dealing with urban development, guaranteed annual income, poverty, collective bargaining, regional economic policies, family allowances, Canadian foreign and defence policies, Newfoundland resettlement program, bail, farm management, communications satellites, civil liberties, and freedom of information. Fonds also includes list of suggested readings and memo regarding proxy voting.
The fonds consists of a typescript of Coles' 1864 diary, in which she describes various social activities connected with the conference, her travels to and from Quebec, and meeting people such as John A. MacDonald and Thomas D'Arcy McGee. Also included is a copy of a letter to Mrs. George Coles from Lady Bannerman, wife of Sir Alexander Bannerman, Governor of Prince Edward Island. The front of the manuscript is inscribed, "Mrs. Bruce Marr, Elmira, Ontario."
