The collection consists firstly, of poetry manuscripts and proofs including "Personae", "Lustra", and "Canzoni and Ripostes"; secondly, a prose manuscript of "That Audience, or the Bugaboo of the Public"; and thirdly, of correspondence to Elkin Mathews (publisher), St. John Adcock, Harry and Caresse Crosby (Black Sun Press), Louis Zukofsky, The British Union of Fascists, T. S. Eliot, Montgomery Belgion, Michael Harald, Clifford Gessler, and others.

Also included is a typed letter on poetry (Jan. 1961) by Denise Levertov and a printed prospectus (Oyez) for "The Years As Catches" by Robert Duncan, which contains contributions from Denise Levertov "On Reading the Early Poems of Robert Duncan" and Charles Olson (untitled). Signed holographs issued by the Stony Brook Poetics Foundation in support of its publication program, probably during the Stony Brook Poetry Conference, at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, 1968.
The collection consists of two poems copied on separate leaves: "Prayer," a holograph poem "copied especially for Marshall Bean", signed and dated "New York, March 18, 1966", and a typescript copy of "Florida Road Workers" with the holograph inscription: "For Mrs. Mark Smith--With my thanks for your very nice note.
