Fonds includes original recordings (and many transcripts), plus voluminous research material relating to Gone to an Aunt's with correspondence, drafts, publicity, clippings. Includes background research materials for Petrie's books on Vancouver, including correspondence, tapes, photographs. Includes CBC Radio work, 1975-1985, comprising tapes, scripts, notes, commentaries. Includes CBC Television work 1983-2003, including scripts, notes, correspondence.

Includes book reviews for the Times Colonist, correspondence and work regarding the Al Purdy-Doug Beardsley Papers collaborative work. Also includes handwritten journals kept by Beardsley from approximately 1969-2017. Additionally includes brochures and ephemera collected while travelling for inspiration, and material for a manuscript about Samuel de Champlain.
