History

Winston Leathers (1932 -2004) was born in Miami then studied Fine Arts and art education at the University of Manitoba. He later taught at the University of Manitoba, School of Architecture for 26 years. At the same time he was an acclaimed painter and printmaker. A trip to Mexico in 1957 had a profound effect on him as did his association with Mark Tobey and Alan Watts.
