Limners fonds

Fonds documents the activities of the Victoria Limners Society from 1972-2008 and includes correspondence, meeting minutes, financial records and society filings. It also contains records related to various group exhibits, including the Limners’ 25th anniversary exhibition in 1996, as well as records related to a book and video produced about the group. A small number of newspaper clippings, exhibition pamphlets, various editions of a booklet on the Limners Society artists and black and white photographs showing Limner members at exhibitions and meetings can be found in this fonds. This fonds has been arranged into into six series: 1) letters; 2) minutes; 3) financial records; 4) society filings; 5) 25th anniversary exhibition; and 6) publications and graphic materials.

Roger Senhouse fonds

The fonds consist of two typed letters from Bosanquet to Roger Senhouse plus a carbon typed letter to Bosanquet from Senhouse. Senhouse annotated Special Collections' copy of "Henry James at Work". Also included are a carbon typescript transcription of Henry James' dictation, a clipping of Bosanquet's article "The Country of Henry James" from Time and Tide, and photocopied clippings from TLS re: James and Bosanquet.

The Temple of the Stars

The file consists of a photocopied typescript of Bowering's play "The Temple of the Stars" (ca. 1996). She based the character of Katherine Maltwood "on her work as a sculptor and her discovery of the Glastonbury "Temple of the Stars"". This play was performed at Kaleidoscope Theatre in 1996.

Collection includes photographs of parades and drills taken by the Department of National Defence; photocopies of military order of the 1st Canadian Army during World War II; copies of intelligence tests administered by the Canadian Armed Forces; correspondence, maps, daily reports and copies of morale reports of the Canadian Militia Training Centre No. 111, Gordon Head Camp, together with some photos; booklet of poems by R.W. Frederick Victor Longstaff fonds

The fonds consists of a holograph notebook, "Notes on the Infantry Training, 1902" by Longstaff; holograph notes for a letter to Mrs. A.L. Buell, 1954; a photocopy of his obituary notices from "The Victoria Daily Times" and the "Victoria Daily Colonist"; and an exercise book (1943) containing clippings from "The Journal of Commerce and Shipping Telegraph". The fonds also includes ephemera related to the Boys' Brigade and The Life Boys, Christian youth organizations, which Longstaff was involved in.
