The Senate Committee on Appeals was established by Senate on 20 May 1982, to adjudicate appeals from students on any matter within the jurisdiction of the Senate as set out in the University Act, except those matters in which the sole question raised turns on the exercise of academic judgement. The Senate has delegated to the Committee the authority and responsibility to decide on behalf of the Senate all appeals from students. The decision of the Committee is final.
