Administrative history

The Senate Committee on Campus Planning was established to inform the Senate and advise the President on the long-term plan for the development of the campus, priorities of proposed building projects, landscape policy, requirement studies for new buildings, and any matters referred to the Committee by the President or the Senate. In 1975, the Senate Committee on Committees recommended to the Senate that the Academic and Campus Planning Committees be disbanded, and replaced by a Senate Committee on Planning, and a University Committee on Campus Development. The motion carried (Senate minutes, 7 Jan. 1976).
