History

George Sinclair (1913-1971) was an artist and educator. He taught at the Alberni Indian Residential School, Tolmie School, and was Director of the Elementary Correspondence School (Department of Education). Sinclair researched Indigenous artwork, imitated Indigenous designs in his work, and taught Indigenous students (including Judith Morgan and Mary Bland).
