Fonds consists of Dr. Edward B. Harvey's professional reports, proposals, studies, manuals, surveys, transcripts, presentations, books and published articles, written solely or in part by Edward Harvey or by Urban Dimensions Group Inc, under his direct supervision from 1960-2006. The material predominately relates to Harvey's interest in health care, employment equity, education, and income security issues. Fonds consists of 6 series: Khutzeymateen, 1981-1993; Ecological Reserves, 1972-1989; Reports, 1982-1996; Photographs, ca.1987; Audiocassettes, 1987-1988; Videos, 1987-1990. The Khutzeymateen series consists of correspondence, grizzly sanctuary proposals, maps, educational programming, press clippings, and office files. The Ecological Reserves series consists of maps and descriptions of B.C. reserves. The Reports series consists of reports on bear, timber, and ecological studies, management proposals, and other publications. The Photographs series consists of Khutzeymateen slides and prints. The Audiocassettes series consists of lectures. The Video series consists of videos about grizzlies in the Khutzeymateen and Canada, and wilderness issues.

The fonds consists of records documenting the administrative and operational activities of Gray's Publishing Ltd., including financial records, files relating to promotion and advertising, drafts of books published by Gray's and books initially accepted but never published; book lists and correspondence of the B.C. Department of Education; correspondence with authors, book and magazine publisher, lawyers and accountants; book publishing surveys conducted by Statistics Canada; guest books signed by attendees at publishing conferences; and material relating to bankruptcy including past due accounts and lists of creditors. There is correspondence and are manuscripts from about 70 authors. These include Lewis Clark, George Clutesi, Sister Mary Margaret Down, Godfrey Halloway, S.W. Jackman, Lawrence Jackson, Charles Lillard, Harry Marriott, Hazel O'Neail, Thead Pearse, Sarian Stump and Allen Wright.

Fonds consists of records created and used by Segger in his activities with the B.C. Heritage Trust and Advisory Board, the Heritage Canada Foundation, the City of Victoria Heritage Advisory Committee, the Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway Committee, and with projects by University of Victoria students in architecture history. Fonds includes summaries of heritage preservation projects, minutes, correspondence, architectural drawings, newsclippings, policy statements, proposals for scholarships and building projects, newsletters, conference material, zoning information, flow charts, membership surveys, and architectural history projects undertaken by Segger's students; records of Segger's books and articles about Samuel Maclure; and, copies of photographs of houses designed by Maclure.

Fonds consist primarily of the correspondence and manuscripts of Dr. Michael Waldichuk specific to environmental issues on the Canadian Pacific coast. The fonds consist of four series: Personal, Cine-film, Pacific Coast Entire, and Pacific Coast Regions. The Personal series contains correspondence, records containing information about Dr. Waldichuk’s academic and professional career, and a bibliography of publications written by Dr. Waldichuk. The Cine-film series consists of 275 metres of film documenting survey procedures, particularly at Crofton Pulp Mill. The Pacific Coast Entire series consists of documents relating to the Pacific Coast as a whole. Pacific Coast Region consists of documents organized into 15 sub-series identified by environmentally distinct regions. The fonds also contains publications received by Dr. Waldichuk in the course of his activities.

Fonds documents George's efforts to preserve wilderness and wildlife endangered by logging interests on the Queen Charlotte Islands. The fonds includes correspondence, reports, scientific studies, public surveys, newsletters and maps. The files are arranged in the following series: Book research, Clippings, Correspondence, Crown Zellerbach, Forestry, Lyell Island, Queen Charlotte Islands, Rayonier, Reports and studies, South Moresby, Western Canada Wilderness Society, Island Protection Society, and Maps. The maps include extensive resource, wildlife, cultural, and topographic groupings: The Regional District of Skeena "A" 1973-1978; South Moresby Wilderness Proposal- ELUAC; Forest Service Maps, 1957-67; Forest company maps; Capability maps, and extensive National Topographic System maps.
