Scope and content

The collection consists of 70 photographic images [71 prints--2 copies of one image] representing the career achievements of Dr. Ted Grant and prepared for a three-month exhibit of his work at the Leica Gallery in New York in the spring of 2014. The exhibit, "Ted Grant: Sixty Years of Legendary Photojournalism," was inspired by a book the same title [sc TR140 G73F39 2013] written by Thelma Fayle and published by Heritage House Publishing in 2013.

Physical description

A total of 70 matted and signed photographs by Ted Grant in colour and B&W. A mix of colour and b&w archival digital ink jet. Silver-gelatin or vintage images developed within five years of taking the picture may be priced higher than digital images. All b&w prints are printed on Epson Exhibition Fibre paper using Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks employed the Advanced b&w print method. Colour prints also printed on Epson Exhibition Fibre paper with Epson Ultrachrome K3 ink set. The exceptions to this are: Ben Johnson, The Coliseum, Margaret Thatcher and R Reagan, Calgary Speed Skater, the large Ice on Ship, Cattle Drive and Nose to Nose (Grandma and child)—There were printed on Ilford God Fibre Silk paper using Epson Ultrachrome K3 ink set.
