W. E. Rolls trained and served as a Royal Canadian Air Force pilot and navigator during World War II. He received most of his training at flying schools in Prince Albert and Regina, Saskatchewan

The fonds consists of RCAF Pilot's Flying Log Book, written by Rolls while at No. 6 Elementary Flying Training School (Prince Albert, Saskatchewan), 1941; RCAF Observer's and Air Gunner's Flying Log Book, while Rolls was at No. 3 Air Observer School, Regina, No. 12 Observers G.R. Course (1942), and with RCAF Squadrons, 1942-1945, including copies of messages from Eastern Air Command and monthly analysis of flying and proficiency assessments. Fonds includes various loose enclosures.
